There
was once this great fearless army Sargent named Audie Murphy. Audie Murphy had
to overcome insurmountable odds and grand adventures to make it back from war
to his loving wife and kids. It all started out simple and routine just another
military movement back to his home station. That would however, not last very
long. Shortly after leaving the Middle East the plane Audie was on would suffer
a catastrophic failure.
This
failure would force him to parachute out of the plane in the middle of the
night with no idea of where he was at or without any survival equipment. Upon
landing on a small deserted island in the middle of nowhere he soon realized
the insurmountable odds he would have to overcome to make it home. For the
first few weeks he managed to survive by finding small amounts of fresh water
pools and the occasional crabs to eat. While on the island he had no real means
of shelter. Not only was he dealing with the lack of food and shelter Audie
also had to figure out a way that he could defend himself from being eaten by
some of the most ferocious creatures known to mankind. On one occasion as he
was out looking for food he came across a huge man-eating beast that came
charging after him. Audie was able to confuse the beast and spear it in the eye
to make his escape from certain death. He quickly knew that he could not make
it if he did not escape the island so he built a small raft out of drift wood.
Audie
set out on his small raggedy crudely built raft to find his way home. As he was
sailing the vast ocean he came across a group of massive one eyed monsters of
the ocean. These huge fish like creatures would swim up beside him and blow a
torrential downpour of water up in the sky and then it would land on him. At
times the water would almost capsize his small raft. Audie being the witty guy
he is was able to persuade the sea giants to allow him safe passage.
After
what seemed like years had passed and everyone assumed he was dead his luck
would change for the better. One dark stormy night he would see the brightest
lights he has ever seen approach him. Out of the storm came a gigantic ship
that was full of people partying. After Audie climbed aboard this massive ship
he was able to finally get some good food. Once he shaved for the first time in
what had to be years. People quickly discovered who they must have found
although he never told anyone. Audie had one last challenge ahead of him. It
was finding out if his wife had stayed true to him.
This was interesting and made me wish there was more of it to read.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good storyline but I think it could use more details and also be a little bit longer. I feel like I was left hanging at the end, wondering if his wife stayed true to him.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the story. Wish it was more detailed and a little bit longer. Really wanted it to continue.
ReplyDeleteGood story, very deep and interesting, really wanted to continue! :)
ReplyDeleteDustin, I really like what you're doing here. I must admit that I agree with your colleagues: I would like to see more details of what Audie encounters along the way. What happens on the island? Can you give a little more of what happens at sea? I think it will only make a good story better.
